Express Glazing Contractors replaces broken roof glass units to offices in Hoxton Square after aerial smashes glass.

When strong winds blew a large roof aerial on top of an office block in Hoxton Square down onto its glass roof, Express Glazing Contractors were called to carry-out emergency work to keep the building weather tight and to surveying for replacement.

The replacement required the manufacture of new insulated double glazed safety glass units, approximately 2700 by 1400mm in size, together with preparation of risk assessment and method statement for replacement. The work required specialist access scaffold equipment to be erected on the roof, road closure and traffic management with local authority licence, specialist crane hire and supervision together with Express Glazing's experienced glaziers so as to complete the work all according to their plan and organisation, to the clients full satisfaction.
